During the man hike, I felt like a man. Bearded. Cold. Mountain conquering.
Then, I shaved my face. Now I feel like a child. Warm in my house. Eating food that has not been thru a sketchy lake-water cooking process. With a nice warm bed to sleep in. Plus, my face now looks like it did as a sophomore in high school.
Goodbye, beard. I shall miss you. May we conquer mountains together again.

Church.
This past week at the NWARS conference, my mind was blown. This post is a quick recap of some of the things that destroyed my brain forever.
After listening to Tim Sheets the first two days of the conference, I got it. I finally understood what the Church was originally supposed to do! The Ekklesia was not just to be a family, but also a governmental legislature designed to bring God’s Kingdom to Earth and depose anything that stood in the way. As much as that makes sense now, the dots weren’t connected at all until a few days ago. How can somebody miss this!?
I can’t freaking wait until Pastor Trevor starts to teach us about studying Greek and Hebrew words and such.Somehow, I had missed the original, Biblical meaning and role of the Church, and if I missed it, that means countless other Christians are missing it as well. The thought of living in a church that is only fulfilling its destiny in part makes me sick. Been there, done that. Thank God He brought me to a place that is alive and all about kingdom purpose! I can’t wait to see what the future holds!

You Burn.
The past week has been so weird.
I don’t even know where or how to start, so I’m just going to drop a whole bunch of random thoughts as an attempt to process some things and connect some dots in my brain.Jacob wrestled God until He promised to bless Him. He wouldn’t let go of the Lord until he knew his name—who He was.

They don’t make cartoons like they used to. Believe me, for better or worse, they just don’t.

If you desire the praise of man, you will fear man. If you fear man, you will serve him—for you will serve what you fear.
John Bevere -
A man who works with his hands is a laborer; a man who works with his hands and his brain is a craftsman; but a man who works with his hands and his brain and his heart is an artist.
